Both masks
were made by camo garment from Elite Zeltbahn rolls glued on papers.
There is nothing special to it, study the pictures, measure the right size
of the face of the characters you are going to do, cut and paste, I spent
approx. 45 mins to make one.
O.K. the gloves, inspired
by a local customizer Albert, I tried to do some gloves too. Again,
the magic gluing technique involved here, I did not make any pattern for
the hands prior but just followed the garment texture ran after I glued
the first sport on the hand back. A good thing of these camo pattern
is that you can always use color markers or paint to cover up the glue
trace and the edges. I did 4 gloved hands in fact; 3 solid hands
and one with the flexible fingers (Krick's pointing hand). The result is
convincing, the flexible fingers are still able to bend after I glued the
garment on it. I decide to leave Josef with a bare strong hand as
I think he rather to keep the trigger finger sensitive ;^P
Material & Tools
I use UHU glue, maybe
there are other adhesives works better but the UHU is good so far.
A pair of good scissors, X-ACTO knife and patience are essential.
The vents on the mask were done by Dremal with 0.8 bit.
