Tears of the Sun
Feng from Taiwan finished the first version of the head sculpt right after the few images released in the internet several months ago and he was kind enough to give me the head to set up the figure.  I watched the trailer over and over, but still very puzzled with Lt. Waters' gears and details in the film until several days ago.... I started with the ear piece first as it is the most obvious and interesting equipment in the pictures.  It is a Dragon with putty sculpted to match the shape, however, I did not change the wire goes between the throat mike and ear piece like the one appeared in the film, considering it will be too flimsy if I cut the original and use a smaller wire instead. The rest of the gears are not difficult, the H harness is from BBI "Demo Dick" Combat Swimmer with the chest strap removed, M16 pouches are from Hot Toys' previous NBC set with modification, green belt and butt pack are from A.C.E. (although I am still unsure the butt pack is camo or OD in the film), black belt, canteen are BBI's. Left hand holster was modified from a 21st. 2 pairs of the black pouches are also from the 21st with nylon straps and covers added.
I can't get a good image for the knife on the right thigh so I settled it with a Dragon's, added a drop down system to get a close match. The BDU coat was also modified by adding to cargo pockets on the sleeves as appeared in the pictures.  

The combat knife on the right shoulder is also interesting. I filed and added some details on the sheath and handle of a BBI's combat knife. The pouch is based on a Dragon, I painted it black after adding more details on it. The problem is the whole thing is kinda stiff after put on the shoulder and does not look like the real one :^( click here for page 2
